Booking

I booked four nights here using my Citi Prestige so I could utilize the fourth night free benefit. I called the Citi concierge and provided by corporate code and my Hyatt account number and they booked the hotel for me. Overall, the total cost was $1301.38 before the fourth night free rebate of $283 which posted to my account two months after our stay.

Getting There

After our stay in Kyoto, we took a quick cab from our Ryokan to Kyoto Station. At Kyoto Station, we purchased two Shinkansen tickets from a kiosk for $129 each. We also stopped at one of the many convenience stores in the station to grab lunch and snacks for the train ride. Read More

Review: JetSuiteX BUR-SJC

TL;DR: If you travel between locations serviced by JetSuiteX, the price and convenience are unbeatable. However, the safety of the operation makes me feel a little uneasy. Pros: Arrive only 20 mins before takeoff, private hangar, free booze/snacks. Cons: Free wifi advertised but not delivered, limited route map.

I booked this flight for $119. More details about booking on my previous post. Read More

We arrived at SFO around 8:45 for our 11:15am flight to Osaka. Though our business class tickets granted us access to the United Club, we went to the Centurion lounge instead. After a quick breakfast and some lounging, we headed to gate 102 for our flight.

“Why Japan?”

We were asked this question by many Japanese people on this trip, and to be honest we didn’t have a great answer. We’ve been wanting to go to Japan for a while – but why? Well, a lot of our other friends have been to Japan and really enjoyed it. We were interested in observing a culture that’s so different from our own. And we were ready to eat our way through the Japan. We had a great trip and I’m excited to share reviews and highlights in this trip report! Read More

Citi Prestige Giving Select Cardholders $50 Amazon Credit

Hello from Barcelona! I just finished a Princess cruise that ended in this beautiful city. When I was catching up on email, I found a pleasant surprise from Citi:

Thank you for using your Citi® Prestige Concierge to book your upcoming hotel stay utilizing our “Fourth Night Free” benefit. We are glad that you are able to “stay a little bit longer”, thanks to this benefit available exclusively to Citi® Prestige cardmembers.

As a small token of our appreciation and your loyalty, we are including in this email a $50 Amazon.com Gift Card. This is our way of saying “thank you” for using this service and being a loyal Citi® Prestige cardmember.

I’m currently staying at Barcelo Sants Hotel, which I booked using the Citi Prestige 4th night free benefit. Citi will pay me back €130 for the 4th night, which was already a great perk. Adding on another $50 in Amazon credit (which is like cash to me) is just icing on the cake.

Several people on FlyerTalk have also reported receiving this bonus perk. This is my first time ever using the fourth night free benefit, and I’m loving it!
