Tip: Use Klook in Asia + Chase Merchant Code

Trip Report: A Week in Hong Kong
Review: United Economy SFO-HKG

While researching activities for our trip to Hong Kong, I found a travel company called Klook that lets you book all sorts of tours and tickets online. Klook makes it easy to book activities, save money, and earn Chase UR points.

For example, we spent a half-day at Hong Kong Disneyland:

Saving Money with Klook

I purchased our HK Disneyland tickets on Klook for $69 USD. Meanwhile, the Disneyland Resort website was showing a price of about $78 USD.

After purchasing our tickets, Klook emailed me a voucher with a QR code. Redeeming the voucher is easy — you simply show the QR code at the front gates.

Klook also has a loyalty program. When you book with Klook, you earn Klook credits (10 credits = 1 Hong Kong Dollar or $0.13 USD) which you can use for future bookings.

Use Chase Sapphire Reserve

Even better, purchases on Klook will earn 3x Chase Ultimate Rewards points! I couldn’t find any info on the Klook merchant code, so I crossed my fingers and used my Chase Sapphire Reserve. Luckily the purchase was coded as Travel and I earned 3x points. The transaction is located in Hong Kong, so I avoided a foreign transaction fee:

Bottom Line

Using Klook was super easy, and earning 3x points is the icing on top! I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again — in fact, I already booked a show and a wifi hotspot with Klook for my upcoming trip to Taiwan.

Will you use Klook in the future?
